Founded in 1945, Ethiopian Airlines is the State owned flag carrier of Ethiopia.

It has its major hub at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport.

In 2011 it became a Member of the Star Alliance Group thereby extending considerable benefits for passengers with its partner Airlines on a global scale.

It operates to 98 international destinations within Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and The Americas and 7 new international services are planned to be launched during the course of 2017.

The company is in the midst of implementing a 15 year strategic plan called “Vision 2025” with the aim of becoming the leading Airline in Africa.
